MEET OUR PROFESSIONAL STAFF

The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff’s training, professional credentials and work experience.

Dr. David Hakimi, D.M.D.

Dr. David Hakimi has been living in Southern California since his move from Toronto, Canada in 1988. He attended Birmingham High School in the San Fernando Valley upon his arrival, where he met his close friend and current business partner Dr. Armon Eben. After receiving his B.S. degree in Psychobiology from UCLA, he went on to study Dentistry at Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA where he received his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry.

Since having graduated, Dr. Hakimi has augmented his education through hundreds of hours of continuing education courses in general, cosmetic and implant dentistry in order to provide his patients with the highest quality and most state-of-the-art treatment available.

Dr. Hakimi prides himself on his commitment to providing quality dentistry in a sensitive and gentle manner. Furthermore, he believes that by listening to his patients’ goals, he can provide each patient with a smile that is not only beautiful, but also representative of their desires and personality.

Dr. Armon Eben, D.D.S.

Originally from Israel, Dr. Eben came to the US during his high school years where he attended Birmingham High School in the San Fernando Valley. It is during this time in high school that he developed a passion for the dental field while working as a dental assistant. Dr. Eben received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from UCLA, and then continued at the UCLA School of Dentistry where he received his doctorate degree.

Having inherited Dr. Scott Rosen’s patients upon his retirement in 2004 along with his business partner, Dr. David Hakimi, Dr. Eben has continued the tradition of excellence in the practice that has been serving the people of Westlake Village and the surroundings since 1990. Dr. Eben provides his patients with the highest quality of dental treatment with a gentle, personal touch utilizing his extended training in multiple areas of dentistry, including esthetics, implants and Invisalign orthodontics.

BUSINESS TEAM

Beth has dedicated her 25 year career to the dental field. Her extensive knowledge of dentistry can be relied upon to bring clarity to any questions or concerns ranging from treatment to finances. Her tremendous energy, passion, loyalty and professionalism can easily be seen in her day-today interactions with patients and co-workers alike. Beth is always ready to greet you with a smile and to make you feel at home.

Beth enjoys spending time with her husband of 20 years and close friends. Her interests vary from watching drag races to wandering through museums. But she is happiest visiting the tropical paradise of Hawaii.

Yessenia was born and raised in sunny Southern California. She began working in the dental field in 2008 as part of the business team, where she found a passion in helping patients and in seeing their smiles transformed. In her free time she loves spending time with her Husband, friends and family. She also enjoys watching movies and exploring the great outdoors.

Keri recently moved to California from the rainy state of Washington and is loving all the sunshine Southern California has to offer. Keri has been in the dental field since 1998. What she loves most about her career is helping others feel comfortable and at ease in the dental environment.

HYGIENISTS

Originating from Texas, Karla moved to the sunshine of Southern California two years ago. She is a graduate of the dental hygiene program at TCC, located in Hurst, Texas. The combination of her acquired experiences and education have made her well versed in all areas related to dentistry and soft-tissue management. Karla’s motto, “If you make a patient feel that you care for them as a whole as much as you do their mouth, then you have done your job well”. Karla is happiest when she gets to spend time with her daughter, husband and two Jack Russels.

Jasmine has been in the dental field for over 10 years and with us at Wesltake Smile Design since moving to California in 2007. Jasmine completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from West Coast University in Anaheim, CA. She has had the privilege of living in several states due to her family being in the military, but has permanently settled since moving to California. She enjoys hiking, running, and spending time with her family, including her pomeranian, Marlo.

Nada graduated from West Coast University in 2017 with her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene and later obtained her Masters in Public Health in 2019. She has been around dentistry her whole life due to her mom being a dentist. Her easy-going and friendly demeanor allows her to build rapport with patients quickly. Patients rave about her excellent chairside manner and gentle touch. Nada loves what she does and takes pride in improving her patients’ oral health.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to different countries with her husband, spending time with her friends and family, and going to the beach.

ASSISTANTS

Wendy has been a registered dental assistant at Westlake Smile Design since 2009, and in the dental field since 1998. She loves being in the dental field because of the feeling she gets when she helps improve a patient’s smile while making them feel comfortable. She also really enjoys the constant technological advances in dentistry, and how they help benefit patients.

Wendy lives in Thousand Oaks with her 4 children; Eddie, Matthew, Sunny and Tristan. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, playing basketball, and taking her kids to the amusement park.

Sandra grew up in Colombia and immigrated to the US with her family in the 1990’s. She has been a Registered Dental Assistant for the past 19 years and loves her work and interacting with patients. In her spare time Sandra enjoys spending time with her kids, hiking, Zumba dancing and volunteering at her church. She always loves staying active and trying new foods.

Lisa grew up in the Pismo Beach, CA area and started her dental career at the age of 15 as a front and back office assistant. She later got her Registered Dental Assistant license and worked in many specialty dental practices, learning an extensive amount in various aspects of dental car. She particularly loves serving and helping people feel at ease during their dental experience.

Her husband having served in the US Navy gave her a wonderful opportunity to travel around the world, utilizing her dental skills, all while being a mother of 5 children.

Lisa is a professional oil painter and outdoor adventurer. She also loves hiking, running, climbing, and gardening. She considers backpacking the trails in Yosemite her happy place.
