TURN YOUR FROWN UPSIDE DOWN WITH DENTAL VENEERS

Veneers are not just for celebrities and if you have been disappointed with your smile, it is time to schedule a no obligation consultation with your Westlake Dentist.

Veneers have come a long way since they were first introduced. Veneers used to be placed with dental adhesive causing them to fall off in a short period time. According to Wikipedia, research began in the 1980’s when Simonsen and Calamia discovered that porcelain could be place on the tooth with a solution of hydrofluoric acid causing the tooth to bond with porcelain and composite resins.

Bonding uses bonding agents that can last from ten to thirty years. Some may need to be replaced because of chipping, cracking, decay, discoloration of gum line shrinkage.

If you decide on dental veneers, your Westlake Smile Design will schedule a first time preparation visit where each tooth that requires a veneer will be buffed to allow enough room for the veneer. During your first time preparation, your Dentist in Westlake will also make a mold of your teeth, which is sent of to a lab for veneer fabrication.

Porcelain veneers are permanent as it is necessary to remove part of your natural tooth, but can alter crooked or stained teeth. Veneers can also change oddly shaped teeth or teeth that have been discolored from age, medication, food, smoking, and drinking. Veneers are very resistant to permanent staining and can last much longer than bonding.

Your Westlake Dentist will schedule three or more New Patients for planning, diagnosis, treatment, preparation, and veneer bonding. Your final visit for veneer bonding could last up to two hours as Our Westlake Village Office carefully places the veneers on to the surface of the tooth with glycerin or water to make sure that they fit properly. Once the color and placement has been established, your Dentist in Westlake will place cement between your tooth and the veneer curing the bond with a laser beam that hardens the cement.

If you would like to change your crooked, discolored, or broken teeth schedule a no obligation consultation with Dr. David Hakimi or Dr. Armon Eben from Westlake Village Dentist or Dr. Armon Eben from Westlake Smile Design. After all, wouldn’t you like to be proud of your smile again?
