A BRAND NEW SMILE WITH DENTAL VENEERS

You really can have a new smile before the holidays, and thanks to the wonders of modern cosmetic dentistry, you don’t have to say no to those party invitations.

Dental Veneers have come a long way since they first hit the scene in the early 1980’s. These days you can have wafer thin dental veneers placed in as little as three appointments.

If your teeth are misshaped, crooked, or chipped, according to your dentist, Dental Veneers could be the answer. Teeth that are badly stained, uneven, or in need of a makeover could benefit from Dental Veneers.

Unlike Dental Bonding, which can chip and crack in as little as a year, Dental Veneers are highly resistant to tea, coffee, red wine and even smoking.

Placed over your own teeth, Dental Veneers are thin pieces of plastic or porcelain that are cemented on to the surfaces of your teeth. Little or no anesthetic is required with the veneers being matching to the color of your teeth.

If your dentist has determined that you are a good candidate for Dental Veneers, your dentist will prepare the tooth during your first appointment. Lasting one to two hours, your dentist will lightly buff each tooth to allow for the thickness of the Dental Veneer. In most cases about a half of a millimeter of tooth is removed, which may require a local anesthetic. After the teeth have been buffed, your dentist will take a mold of each tooth before sending it off to a dental lab for veneer fabrication.

During your final appointment for Dental Veneers, you can expect to be at Westlake Smile Design for a couple of hours. After your veneers are placed on to the surface of your teeth with glycerin or water, the fit will be checked as well as the color. During this process, your new Dental Veneers will be cemented with various shades in order to match the color of your teeth. Once the shade has been chosen, your dentist will apply a special cement before curing with a laser or light beam.

Get the smile you have always wanted, boost your confidence before the holidays, and schedule an appointment with Westlake Smile Design for Dental Veneers.
